MOUNTAINS ARE MOUNTAINS
Mountains are Mountains is a work comprised of two duets that feature performers Robert Abubo and Josh Martin, Justin De Luna and Louise Michel Jackson, along with video by Erin Weisgerber and live music performed by the legendary Australian drummer Jim White.
The participants in Mountains are Mountains are suspended in an endless condition of metaphysical mountain climbing, waiting for the future to arrive, while it never does. Movement, live music and video create a ‘visible doorway to the invisible’ through which the performers insist that the goal of life is not elsewhere, but in life itself.
