COIL (undo, redo, do)

A body forgets. A body remembers. A body begins again.

An intimate performance for dancer Caroline Gravel, scored live by violinist Sophie Trudeau (Godspeed You! Black Emperor), with scenography by multidisciplinary artist Caroline Monnet and lighting by Lucie Bazzo. Drawn from Louise Bourgeois’ concept of the spiral - at once wound and shelter, containment and unraveling. Resisting binaries between chaos and control, nature and code, COIL proposes slowness as generative and repair as choreography.

Choreographer Dana Gingras assembles a team whose practices create a multi-sensory field inviting audiences to slow down—not toward spectacle, but toward subtle gestures of care, refusal, and survival.
